It is with great sadness that we announce Hollister Presbyterian Church has dissolved.
The church building has been purchased and will, in God's time, be reopened to once again serve God's purpose.
We sometimes wonder, as it says in Psalm 22, "my God, why have you forsaken me?" but once you read past the crucifixion imagery, you realize as you move from the very real complaints of suffering to the realization that there is always hope in the promise of redemption and God's love.
It is a reminder too, that we are part of a larger story. God is in control.
This church is sacred ground ... and we give thanks and praise for all the love and sorrow, laughter and praise, and went forth into the world strengthened by God's love.
Now the story of this space will change but we know the new owners will follow God's will, continue on with it's sacred calling, and expand even further - to future generations.
To God Be the Glory. Alleluia Amen
